Description:
The Ashiko Moon Drum, designed by Oscar De Los Santos. Unlike other Ashikos, the Ashiko Moon Drum was created to be a reflection of the moon and its cycles. Oz embedded the moon's aspects and cycles into this drum. Oz hid the knowledge in plain sight...in the drum's shape, cording, rings and skin. They all tell a part of the story, and we are always happy to share it so you can carry it too!
Made of Canadian pine, our Ashikos are already acclimatized to our weather, so our drums don't crack as readily as imported drums do. They are made with skill and care, skinned with select goat skins, using quality static nylon cord. All of these aspects combine to bring you the great sound of a Tribal Thunder Ashiko Moon Drum.
